Job Purpose:

The Human Resources Officer must develop an exceptional workforce and develop the Human Resources department by having as a primary goal to develop an employee–oriented culture in the organization that emphasizes on quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems and counseling on policies and procedures
  • Is actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting job openings and managing the hiring process
  • Establishes and manages a staff Exit Procedure
  • Creates and implements effective onboarding plans
  • Develops training and development programs
  • Organizes staff training sessions and activities and maintains the staff training schedule
  • Assists in performance management processes by coordinating activities and assisting all staff as required
  • Supports the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintains employee records (attendance, certifications etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
  • Maintains employee files in accordance with applicable policies and legislation
  • Reviews employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance and employee satisfaction
  • Provides administrative support with regards to employee benefits
  • Looks after the health, safety and welfare of all employees
  • Advises line managers and other employees on employment law and the employer’s own employment policies and procedures
  • Ensures candidates have the legal right to work at the organization based on current immigration framework
  • Maintains a basic knowledge of company’s products, services and procedures
  • Maintains good communication and cooperates well with all departments
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of applicable employment and other relevant regulations

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • A Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field and a professional qualification (CIPD/SHRM) will be considered an advantage
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Fluency in English & Greek (written and oral)

Job-Related Skills :

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of Advanced Excel will be considered an advantage
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team set-up
