Established in 1967, Gnomi Integrated Communications is one of the top full-service advertising agencies in Cyprus, with a rich portfolio of local and international clients and multiple awards at local and international festivals. We are currently looking for a Web Developer to join our team.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Web Developer in Nicosia. The Web Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality and highly-converting WordPress websites. The Web Developer will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, digital media planners and project managers to deliver high-quality, visually-appealing websites and other digital assets. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites using HTML/CSS/JavaScript and PHP
• Customizes themes and plugins to ensure consistent branding and user experience.
• Keeps the websites running seamlessly, constantly tests the site’s functionality, ease of use and load time.
• Ensures website security by setting up firewalls and backup solutions.
• Works closely with the design and content teams to implement desired features and functionality.
• Perform continuous testing regarding cross browser compatibility, Google Pagespeed, Google indexing, SEO optimization, UI/UX of website, updating plugins & website software.

Qualifications

• Experience with WordPress coding and plugins
• Good knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and PHP
• Good knowledge of web performance practices
• Familiar with SQL and MySQL
• Understanding how to write clean and well documented code
• Experience of SEO best practices
• Familiar with Google Analytics, Facebook and Google Tag manager tracking
• Experienced with responsive design techniques
