We’re hiring a creative and technically proficient Website Designer to design and build beautiful, fast and conversion-focused websites for our clients, from WordPress builds to fully custom-coded sites. This role is perfect for someone who is both design-minded and comfortable with code.
Responsibilities
- Website Design & Development Build visually stunning, responsive WordPress websites tailored to each client.
- Custom Websites Design and develop bespoke, custom-coded websites beyond ready-made themes, tailored to each client’s brand and goals.
- Front-End Customisation Use PHP, CSS and JavaScript to enhance functionality and styling.
- UX/UI Best Practices Create layouts that are user-friendly, accessible and conversion-focused.
- Client Collaboration Communicate directly with clients to understand needs, present design drafts and finalise deliverables.
- Ongoing Support Provide technical support and guidance after project delivery when needed.
- Maintenance Perform updates, bug fixes, security checks and performance optimisations as required.
- Team Coordination Collaborate with designers, marketers and content creators to align website content with campaign goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and developing websites with WordPress.
- Strong front-end skills HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
- Experience building custom websites (custom themes and hand-coded layouts) beyond ready-made templates.
- Ability to turn a design (Figma or similar) into a pixel-perfect, responsive website.
- Experience with page builders such as Elementor or WPBakery.
- Good design instincts with attention to layout, typography and responsive behaviour.
- Familiarity with SEO and performance best practices (Core Web Vitals) is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bonus Experience with Figma, Git, and AI-assisted development tools.
