HMI & Partners Ltd: Ζητείται Tax Assistant – Λευκωσία
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Assistant to support our tax team with the preparation of tax returns, recordkeeping, and compliance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of tax laws, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in tax accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns (corporate, personal, VAT, etc.) in compliance with local regulations.
- Organize and maintain tax records, reports, and documentation.
- Support the tax team in gathering and analyzing financial data for tax filings.
- Monitor tax filing deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
- Assist in responding to tax authority queries or audits.
- Conduct basic tax research and summarize findings.
- Help prepare tax reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities related to tax accounts.
- Stay updated on relevant tax laws and changes in regulations.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- 1-2 years of tax-related work experience in a Professional Services organization.
- Understanding and knowledge of domestic and international direct tax related matters pertaining to individuals and companies.
- Basic knowledge of DAC 6 requirements.
- Basic knowledge of Transfer Pricing Law.
- Basic Knowledge of VAT Law.
- Basic Knowledge of AML Law.
- Fluency in Greek and English.
- Team spirit, responsibility, autonomy, hard worker.
