Ζητείται Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating and managing mechanical and electrical projects, both on the construction side and in terms of communication with clients, partners and internal project teams.

The role includes, among other duties, supervising mechanical and electrical works on site, participating in client meetings, and taking on the role of Project Manager for SYCHEM CYPRUS projects in Cyprus.

Key responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager will:

1. Supervise and manage MEP projects in building, industrial and other technical facilities.
2. Coordinate mechanical and electrical works on site.
3. Take part in meetings with clients, partners, suppliers and subcontractors.
4. Monitor project progress, schedules and technical requirements.
5. Contribute to the project implementation design.
6. Carry out comparative assessments of alternative technical solutions and equipment.
7. Prepare budgets, quantity take-offs and final measurements.
8. Prepare, or support the preparation of, technical and commercial offers.
9. Develop maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
10. Carry out regular site supervision at project locations across Cyprus, as required.

Essential qualifications

Candidates should have:

1. A degree in Mechanical Engineering (university or technological institute).
2. At least 3 years of professional experience in construction and/or project management of MEP projects.
3. Experience in MEP installations for building and/or industrial projects.
4. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
5. Excellent command of English.
6. Strong computer literacy and proficiency in office applications.
7. The ability to communicate effectively with clients, partners and technical teams.
8. Strong organisational skills, a sense of responsibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
9. Willingness to travel to project sites within Cyprus, according to the needs of the role.

Desirable qualifications

The following will be considered an advantage:

1. Experience in HVAC projects, plant rooms, BMS, energy efficiency or water treatment systems.
2. Experience in on-site coordination of subcontractors.
3. Experience in large-scale energy or technical projects.
4. The ability to take ownership of a project from the preparation stage through to completion.
