American Medical Center / American Heart Institute (AMC/AHI) is a state-of-the-art health care facility offering a wide range of medical services and collaborates with highly experienced and competent professionals. Consistent with our strategy for striving for excellence, we are in the process to fortify our accounting department and are in search for a Patient Financial Services Officer.

Key Job Responsibilities:

· Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances.

· Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and overdue accounts.

· Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.

· Collections/receipts/allocation of payments.

· Prepare reports related to accounts receivable, aging analysis and collections.

· Follow-ups with insurance companies.

· Preparation of statements of accounts.

· Communication with other consultants when necessary.

· Provide financial counseling to patients regarding their coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and payment              options.

· Educate patients on available financial assistance programs and guide them through application processes.

· Maintain detailed documentation of all patients’ financial interactions.

· Ensure compliance with hospital policies, insurance regulations, and data privacy standards.

· Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives related to financial services.

· Work closely with admissions, scheduling, and clinical departments to align financial processes with patient care workflows.

· Support revenue cycle initiatives and contribute to departmental KPIs.

· Support other accounting projects, as necessary.

· Report to the General Manager & CFO.

Required Qualifications:

· Fluency of Greek and English language.

· 3-5 years of similar working experience.

· Knowledge of accounting principles and processes.

· Expertise in Microsoft Office programs, online email, calendar and/or other Windows based software.

· Knowledge of SAP system will be considered an advantage.

· LCCI Higher will be considered an advantage.

· Previous hospital experience will also be considered an advantage.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.

· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Trustworthy and reliable person.
