Job Title: Front Desk & Family Support Officer

Location: Nicosia

Role Overview:

The Front Desk & Family Support Officer is the first point of contact for families, guests, volunteers and partners of Ronald McDonald House® Cyprus.

This role is essential in creating a warm, safe and respectful environment, while ensuring the smooth daily operation of the House through effective front desk and administrative support.

This is not just a reception role – it’s a people-centered position with real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming & Supporting Families

  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to families and manage all check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Communicate House rules, services and facilities clearly and accurately.
  • Offer continuous support to families with empathy, discretion and respect.

Call Center & Communication

  • Handle all incoming telephone calls and email correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage enquiries, route calls appropriately and ensure accurate message handling.

Reservations & Room Management

  • Monitor room availability and update relevant reservation and record systems.
  • Process accommodation applications in collaboration with Makarios Hospital.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date residency records.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain and update administrative records, reports and documentation.
  • Prepare internal logs, summaries and reports as required.
  • Provide administrative support to management and team members.
  • Undertake external administrative tasks as required for the operational needs of the House.

Supporting House Operations

  • Conduct regular room and facility checks and report any deficiencies or damages.
  • Coordinate appointments with external partners, suppliers and technicians.
  • Manage keys, access cards and relevant tracking records.
  • Perform monthly stock-taking and manage weekly stockroom distribution.

Volunteer Support

  • Welcome, guide and support volunteers during their activities.
  • Maintain volunteer records and assist with task coordination.

Safety & Procedures

  • Monitor visitor entry and exit and ensure all access control procedures are strictly followed.
  • Report incidents, risks or concerns promptly to management.
  • Ensure the front desk and stockroom areas remain clean, orderly and professional at all times.

Sponsors & Visits

  • Welcome sponsors, partners and visiting groups in a professional manner.
  • Support House and Foundation events and activities.
  • Assist with the daily operation of the e-shop.

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for someone who brings more than just skills — we want passion, personality, and purpose.

  • A university degree in a relevant field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a reception or customer service role will be considered an advantage.
  • Fluent in both Greek and English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team spirit, positive attitude and willingness to support others.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality and respect for privacy.
