Billing Administrator [IS7B]

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and support of the information systems responsible for rating, charging, and billing functions of Cablenet. The systems support multiple aspects of the operations including product pricing, order management, work order management, online/offline charging, rating, and billing. The billing administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, update and troubleshooting operation of these systems, will provide daily report generation on all aspects of the business, and will ensure the security and efficiency of the IS infrastructure with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity.

Role Responsibilities 

  • Install and configure software and hardware required by the billing system
  • Provide and/or support technical support; required to set up and maintain internal parameters for the billing software
  • Perform or support, rate change adjustments and maintenance for charging and billing setup as needed
  • Provide information from the billing system as requested and maintain data standards within the billing system according to Cablenet standards and in relation to the DBA
  • Maintain job schedules, manage or assist with equipment addressability, implement new programs (i.e., automated collections, GLs), upgrades, merges, and conversions
  • Set up user accounts and maintain permissions according to company policies
  • Monitor performance, investigated in-depth billing issues and maintain systems according to Cablenet’s standards
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems, in conjunction with the Vendor, with new releases and patches
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Build and maintain technical documentation, manuals and IS policies
  • Provided customer follow-up to insure timely resolution of all billing issues

Role Requirements & KPIs

  • MSc in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Proven experience as a Billing Administrator, System Administrator, or similar role
  • Experience with databases, sql, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
  • Excellent Knowledge of Linux and Windows 2012 R2, and various operating systems and platforms
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Knowledge of Oracle BRM and RODOD architecture products is considered an advantage
  • Professional certification in relevant systems is a plus
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud technologies is a plus
