Data Analyst– Position Profile

Summary

Universal Life is looking to hire a Data Analyst at its Head offices in Nicosia, Cyprus, directly reporting the Head of Strategic Planning and Development. The role also requires close collaboration with staff members and managers across the organization.

Main responsibilities

The successful candidate will be working alongside the Head of Strategic Planning and Development to:

  • Support various functions within the organization on specialist data and reporting needs.
  • Design and implement a holistic data governance plan across the organization.
  • Streamline and automate regular data collection and reporting.
  • Define and create appropriate KPIs for tracking business metrics.
  • Produce data analysis and reports for internal and external clients.
  • Ad-hoc support towards ad-hoc Strategic Projects

Requirements

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science & Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science (or any other related science field).
  • Master’s degree in a Data Analytics subject will be considered an advantage.
  • Skills and Experience
  • Data analysis and data management skills
  • Knowledge of data-related programming languages (Python, R, SQL etc).
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • High level of numerical and analytical skills.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English Languages.

Desirable

  • Insurance related business knowledge.
  • Knowledge of building Dashboards using Business Intelligence software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau or similar).
  • Familiarity with Financial Modelling and basic statistical concepts.

Additionally, the candidate selected will have strong organization skills, be able to multi-task, prioritize work effectively, operate independently and take ownership for delivery of tasks.
