International Events Officer

About us

IMH is a leading Corporate Events and Media organization operating in the Knowledge and Information Economy. It provides products and services based on content, intelligence and connections to specialist audiences. IMH services include the organization of conferences, summits, client events, exhibitions, business and mainstream media. Every year, IMH organizes more than 110 corporate events in the form of: Conferences & Exhibitions on all market sectors, Investment Summits in Cyprus and Abroad, Client conferences/events as well as Business Award ceremonies.

The Media Department of ΙΜΗ publishes two monthly magazines – the Greek-language IN Business and the English-language Gold. It also operates three online portals – IN Business News (www.inbusinessnews.com), Gold News (www.goldnews.com.cy) and REPORTER-online (www.reporter.com.cy) which is one of the most visited multi-thematic news portal in Cyprus.

IMH seeks to employ:

International Events Officer

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new conference and event concepts and opportunities
  • Effectively research topics with relevant industry professionals and the target market
  • Develop the intellectual content of the conference/event programme, and identify target audience.
  • Help develop an analytical programme of a conference/event
  • Help identify guest speakers for event
  • Invite and liaise with high level speakers and clients (from across the world), as well as coordinate speakers on-site at the event
  • Assist in the provision of leads to the delegate sales and sponsorship team
  • Managing clients on-site to help deliver outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Working closely with other Departments such as Sales, Marketing and Operations
  • Complete other related tasks as needed

Requirements

  • BA/BSc in Events Management, Business Management or other relevant field
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English language, both written and verbally
  • Any additional language proficiency will be considered as an advantage
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Previous experience working in events will be considered as an advantage

  • Confidence and strong negotiation skills
  • A solid work ethic
  • Able to multitask (manage to work on several events at the same time)
  • Ability to work in a team environment and in a fast paced environment
  • Possession of a good understanding of customer service
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail

Remuneration

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, according to qualifications and experience.
