Accountant

We are an established firm with a newly opened office in Limassol. We are specializing in recruitment, manpower, logistics, and general trading. For our new office, we are looking for an accountant, who really likes the job. If you are smart, always ready to learn, and you do not need to be told what to do, carry on reading.

You will ideally be:

• Educated and qualified for the job (you will have a diploma/degree in a finance-related field).
• You will be good at all matters related to PC (Ms Office, QuickBooks should be a no brainer).
• You will really know well how the finance system in Cyprus works and you will be able to suggest how things should be done for the best interest of the company.
• You will know a thing or two about TAX, VAT, and you will be able to explain it in a simplistic way to those not educated in finance.
• You will be very self-motivated and excited to work for our company. We can make you excited, but if you are here for 9-5, we will not be a good fit for you.
• You are flexible, detail-oriented and you do not have a “this is not my job” attitude.

Duties:

• Ensure the running of accounts and financial reporting is smooth
• Payroll/bookkeeping
• Admin ad hoc tasks

What we offer:

• We will pay you what you deserve, of course.
• We have a cute office, but we are not the kind to make you sit in the office if you prefer to work from a café (you do need to show up in the office at least twice a week – you will be the accountant, not the others).
• We will not track your time and will not micromanage you, so if you are a type who sits on Instagram the whole day, we will call you out on it and you will not last with us.
• We offer flexibility, but we expect flexibility, we are not running a nursery so if you can manage your time in a way the things get done, we do not care how, when, and where.
• If you stick with us and you prove yourself, we will take you on really cool teambuilding trips around the world.

The majority of people who started working with us are still with us, we treat them like a family. Those who are not with us were either lazy or not smart enough. We also like people who can laugh and don’t take themselves too seriously. We do not care if you have just finished your Uni, or if you are 50, yellow, purple, single mother, unicorn, or if you bake in your free time. Everyone who qualifies is welcomed to apply. (Successful applicant will be given a task to work on before interview). The start date for this position is February 1, 2021.
