Ζητείται Junior Accountant

1. Running accounting of the vessel owning companies:

·        Processing daily entries of revenue, cost and asset related invoices

·        Reconciling company’s bank statements with accounting ledgers

·        Maintaining current statement of accounts with vendors

·        Managing asset register and depreciation/ amortization schedules

·        Timely preparation of management reports as per Company’s standards

·        Managing tax returns as per applicable law

1.    Running accounting and treasury of local office:

·        Processing all administrative expenses, incl. payments and statement of accounts

·        Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations

·        Preparation of statutory accounts for internal and external purpose

·        Being petty cash custodian

1.    Co-ordination and contacts with local banks:

·        Being first priority contacts for corporate banks

·        Processing transfers and managing remittances

·        Being focal point for KYC process

·        Solving all potential matters related to running the treasury of the company

1.    Co-ordination and contacts with local authorities:

·        Preparing and submitting local reports and filings on time and proper quality

·        Responding to ad-hoc enquiries

·        Cooperating closely with local advisors and auditors

Stand-in:

• Finance Director

·        IFRS-EU with regards to financial reporting

·        Cyprus GAP and tax regulations with regards to domestic accounts

·        Minimum Bachelor in finance, accounting or business related field

·        Big plus for ongoing Chartered Accountant/ ACCA/ CIMA or other internationally recognized finance qualifications

Experience

·        Minimum 2-3 year experience in accounting in Cyprus or Greece

·        Shipping accounting experience is a must

3. Skills and competencies

Technical Expertise

• Very good understanding of shipping accounting
• Full knowledge of General Ledger
• Understanding of local tax and administrative compliance (VAT, TTS, CIT, etc.)
• Ability to use finance and accounting modules of ERP system
• Very good command of MS Excel
