Accountant

Zervos & Co, a well established medium size firm providing professional services such as Audit, Tax and Accounting seeks to recruit motivated individuals to join the accounting department in our Nicosia office.

The position holder will support the smooth and efficient running of the accounting department by handling day to day accounting duties for several companies both local and international clients.

We also welcome partly qualified ACCA, academic undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in both accounting-related and non-related subjects, holders of a university degree. The ideal candidates should be ambitious and career-oriented, young professionals, who will embark on a fully or partly subsidized training scheme to become Certified Accountants.

Job Description:

• Maintaining reporting of sales, purchases, expenses and other transactions in accounting software, accurately and timely
• Prepare and sort the accounting documentation gathered from the client to enable the efficient posting of the data in the firm’s accounting software
• Manage bank, debtors and creditors reconciliation
• Prepare tax computation workings
• Assist with the finalisation of financial statements and tax returns
• Prepare VAT and VIES report
• Maintain properly the accounting file

Requirements / Skills:

• University degree or equivalent (preferably in accounitng)
• At least 3-5 years of experience in an Accountant role
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
• Willingness to learn
• Team Working skills
• Attention to detail with a commitment to high quality and accuracy
• Knowledge of the Russian language will be considered an advantage

Remuneration:
