1.  Junior Accountant

On behalf of our client we are seeking to employ a Junior Accountant for their offices in Nicosia, Cyprus

Duties:

– Maintain accounts, document bills and supporting documentation

– Perform general book-keeping, accounting and general administration work in a highly computerised environment.

– Update financial records via accounting software

– Deliver accurate and balanced trial balances

– Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting records

– Track and monitor accounts receivable/ accounts payable

– Issue and prepare invoices

– Perform reconciliations

Requirements:

  • LCCI Accounting Higher diploma or CAT or GCE Accounting A Level and a working experience of at least two years post-graduation.
  • Skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and email management
  • SAP experience considered an advantage
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise and juggle a busy workload
  • Fluency in both Greek and English
  • Active and able to assimilate new information quickly
  • Highly diplomatic and discrete with the ability to handle highly sensitive data

The above position is for a 12-month contract with the opportunity of renewal.

2.  Human Resources Administrator

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to employ a Human Resources Administrator, for their offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The primary purpose of the HR Administrator is to provide direct client support, maintaining and improving HR reporting systems, tools, and processes, providing people analytics/insights, supporting project management and change initiatives.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Balkans HR Coordinator as well as local line managers/employees to ensure the coordinated delivery of high-quality support to the business/ function.

Duties:

– Supporting HR Services by delivering a range of activities which include payroll data collection, reporting, responding, resolving and/or escalating employee queries, supporting internal HR and liaise with Finance/Tax dept. when required.

– Serve as first point of contact for employees and Line Managers, answering queries on policy, process and redirects non-HR queries as required (providing education as necessary).

– Assist in the delivery of HR Service activities, collecting and documenting relevant data and information

– Prepare and monitor payroll data by working closely with the external payroll provider, ensuring processes and data are in place for payroll processing as per country requirements and regulations.

– Develop processes, tools and templates to manage queries, changes and updates to HR knowledge and content.

– Provide a range of administrative support functions to the team, for example prepare offer letters, contracts of employment, etc

– Support daily HR activities and assist in coordinating recruitment, processes, and relevant documents.

– Provide accurate filing systems for all records generated in the HR department.

– Maintain records of contractual amendments, change of personnel details, annual leave and recording of sicknesses etc.

– Perform transactions and manage associated tasks for employee and job-related data service requests.

– Provide appropriate reports from the HR database for the purpose of auditing and monitoring employee data and training.

– Perform data collections and filling (both in hard copy and soft copy)

– Responsible for annual and interim audits on all HR issues (payroll, benefits, etc.) in cooperation with external tax auditors.

– Registering employees on the Ergani system

– Keep up to date with new labour laws and in contact with the respective authorities to resolve queries and lead communication (Ministry of Labour, SI dept. etc.)

Requirements:

– HR certification/degree preferred

– Experience in a similar role

– Skills in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook diary and email management

– Knowledge of Workday considered an advantage

– Fluency in both Greek and English languages

– Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise and juggle a busy workload

–  Active and able to assimilate new information quickly

– Highly diplomatic and discrete with the ability to handle highly sensitive data

– Cypriot labour law knowledge
