The position

MP Cyprus is seeking to recruit a dynamic and motivated individual as Reservations Agent.The successful candidate shall be responsible for a diverse range of reservation related functions and activities ensuring efficient and accurate processing of requests while maintaining a high-standard customer satisfaction. The successful candidate shall be responsible to maintain good and smooth relationships with TOs and hotels alike while also coordinating with the land Operations department.

The role – Principal Responsibilities

  • Process reservations for land services i.e. transport, excursion or other as requested by Tour Operators in a timely and orderly fashion
  • Coordinate with alternative reservation requests i.e. hotels, flights etc.
  • Liaise with the Contracting Manager to ensure the availability of valid contracts.
  • Ensure that customer queries are handled promptly and efficiently and have been resolved with the turnaround policy.
  • Ensure that billing and credit agreements are managed and controlled.
  • Ensure that cancellations, amendments or any booking adjustments are being processed with no delays
  • Verify the reports on respective Reservation activities.
  • Ensure that records of all reservations are maintained.

 

 

Essential Skills, Competencies & Qualities

  • Experience of building and maintaining strong partner relationships
  • Good commercial awareness and ability to in analysing, reporting and efficiently responding to information and data
  • Follow directions and fully implement within requested time frames
  • Good command for the English language and the ability to liaise with people on all levels
  • Time Management andProblem solvingskills
  • Capability of undertaking initiatives and delivering results
  • Trustworthiness, honesty and commitment

 

Experience working within a similar role within the travel & tourism industry preferably in multiple source markets and models (Traditional TO, DMC, Bedbank) shall be considered as an advantage

Qualifications

  • Higher education (Diploma) or respective degree in business or Hotel Management or related field
  • BA (or respective) degree shall be considered as an advantage
  • Knowledge of Germanand/orFrench shall be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent literacy skills and a proficient computer user with experience of using Microsoft office, Reservation systems etc.

 

Remuneration:

A competitive remuneration package shall be negotiated with the successful applicant based on his/her qualifications and experiences.

The position

MP Cyprus is seeking to recruit high calibre, experienced, dynamic and motivated persons asKey Account Manager (KAM).The KAM is responsible for the business development for specific Tour Operators. The KAM acts as the general «point of contact» for all enquiries from Tour Operators responsible for coordinating with different departments (Product, Contracting, Data Control, Reservation, Operations and Customer Service) ensuring the Operator’s growth and profitability in the destination of focus. This role may require you to travel to understand the work of different tour operators while also enhancing their sales & marketing capabilities.

  • Represent customers in their specific markets acquiringspecial offers and ensuring that the company has sufficient inventory for the clients’ needs
  • Review of hotels sales situation with Yield and Reservation
  • Communicate your clients’ needs e.g. special offers, extra rooms etc.
  • Ensure that the right products and services are delivered to the clients at the desired price and in time
  • Develop, maintain and improve relationships with the hotels decision makers, sales & marketing and key staff in the operation
  • Maintain hotel product information
  • Measure progress and benchmark to targets
  • Carry out market, supplier and product research
  • Manage client expectations and negotiate with the clients to achieve sound workable alternatives when necessary
  • On behalf of the Operators, engage in unique ways to develop business and promote the destination
  • Organize familiarization trips for the clients
  • Be familiar with the clients’ source markets in order to recognize trends and

 

Essential Skills, Competencies & Qualities

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Travel & Tourism industry preferably in a similar position
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language – both oral and written
  • Good commercial awareness and ability to demonstrate competence in analysing, reporting and efficiently responding to information and data
  • Target driven with proven negotiation skills
  • Initiative, prioritising, problem solving and efficient time management
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and analytical skills
  • Proficient computer user with experience of using Microsoft office
  • Trustworthiness, honesty and commitment

 

Qualifications

  • BA or respective degree in business or Hotel Management or related field
  • Postgraduate degree shall be considered as an advantage
  • Germanand/or knowledge of another foreign language may be considered as an advantage
